New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
Nashville - Matt MacBride hammered a two run home run over the left field wall to give the Nashville Sounds a 6-4 win in twelve innings. The win is the fourth in a row for Nashville over New Orleans and hands the Cakes their fifth consecutive defeat.
New Orleans led 4-1 when Renato Nunez homered in the eighth inning. The Sounds rallied and scored two runs in the ninth to tie the game.
The Cakes jumped out to a 4-1 lead scoring a run in the fourth and two in the sixth inning. JT Riddle had four hits in six at bats and Steve Lombardozzi extended his hitting streak with a hit and an RBI.
GAME NOTES: The Cakes have lose a season high five and fall to 1-2 in extra inning games. Lombardozzi added a hit and extended his hit streak to a season best five games... New Orleans has allowed 28 home runs for the season, second highest in the league.
