Nashville Sounds News Release
Tonight's series opener between the Nashville Sounds and Omaha Royals, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Greer Stadium stemming from the heavy rains throughout the Middle Tennessee area this weekend.
The game will be made up as part of a 6 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday evening.
Tickets for Monday, June 14 may be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value, pending availability, to any remaining 2004 Sounds home game, with the exception of Tuesday, June 15 (American General buyout). Please visit the Greer Stadium box office to exchange your tickets.
In Tuesday's twinbill, Nashville left-hander Sean Burnett (1-4, 5.15) will start the opener and face Omaha right-hander Jason Dickson (1-1, 4.73). Right-hander John VanBenschoten (2-6, 4.83) will start the nightcap for the Sounds and face right-hander Kris Wilson (3-8, 6.87).
