Nashville Sounds News Release
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Monday night's game between the Nashville Sounds and Colorado Springs Sky Sox has been postponed due to rain at First Tennessee Park.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, May 28 at First Tennessee Park. Game one will begin at 4:05 p.m. with game two scheduled to begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Both contests will be seven innings. Fans can enjoy the post-game Memorial Day fireworks after the doubleheader.
Fans may exchange their tickets for Monday's game at the Sounds' box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value, pending availability, to any remaining 2017 home game. Fans that possess tickets for the originally scheduled game on May 28 can now enjoy both games of the doubleheader with their current tickets.
The Sounds begin an eight-game road trip on Tuesday as they head to Oklahoma City to take on the Dodgers for four games before ending the trip in Colorado Springs. Right-hander Zach Neal (0-1, 4.15) starts for the Sounds against right-hander Justin Masterson (1-0, 2.25). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
The 2017 season is the Sounds' 40th in franchise history and their third as the Oakland Athletics' top affiliate. Season ticket memberships are available now by calling (615) 690-4487 or by visiting www.nashvillesounds.com.
