
Baby Cakes Back Home to Host Cubs

Metairie, LA - The New Orleans Baby Cakes host the Iowa Cubs, Triple-A affiliate of the World Series champion Chicago Cubs, for a four-game series starting Tuesday, April 18 at 7 p.m.
The Baby Cakes went 3-4 on their first road trip of the season, including a split of a four-game set at Iowa last week, which featured only the third no-hitter in the franchise's 25-year history. Outfielder Matt den Dekker leads New Orleans with four doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI to go with a .286 batting average through 11 games.
The homestand kicks off with Two For Tuesday presented by Coors Light, offering two domestic beers for the price of one, and Louisiana Seafood BOGO Ticket Tuesday, where you can bring in a receipt from any local Acme Oyster House or Another Broken Egg Café showing purchase of any Louisiana Seafood dish for buy one, get one free tickets. Wednesday is Businessperson's Special where fans can enjoy a noon matinee at the ballpark with a game ticket, hot dog, and a soda or beer for only $13.
Thursday is Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser with 12-oz. domestic drafts for just $2 all night. The series wraps up on Friday night as the big top meets the ballpark during Circus With The 'Cakes, featuring the Human Cannonball. A night of circus-themed fun will be highlighted by daredevil David "The Bullet" Smith propelling himself out of a 35-foot cannon from center field after the game.
