The Reno Aces scored 11 unanswered runs Monday and beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 13-2. The Aces hit five home runs, including two by former San Diego Padre Oswaldo Arcia and one by Reno starting pitcher Braden Shipley.

El Paso starter Jake Esch suffered the loss in his Chihuahuas' debut, allowing four earned runs on seven hits. Carlos Asuaje had a strong offensive game for El Paso, going 2-for-3 with a walk. Jose Pirela went 1-for-3 with a walk and reached base in all three games of the series.

Rocky Gale pitched a scoreless two thirds of an inning in the eighth, his professional pitching debut. The Chihuahuas lost two series in a row on the road trip after beginning the season with a series win at home against Las Vegas.
