Sounders FC Hosts FC Dallas on Wednesday Evening at Lumen Field

SEATTLE, WASH. - After falling 1-0 to San Jose for its second loss in a row, marking the club's first consecutive defeats since 2019, Seattle Sounders FC hosts FC Dallas on Wednesday, August 4 (7:00 p.m. PT / JOEtv, Prime Video, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). This marks the first meeting between the two sides this season, with Dallas looking to continue its run against top Western Conference teams, beating both LA Galaxy and Sporting Kansas City in its last two matches, outscoring them 6-1.
In MLS regular-season play, Seattle is 12-7-7 all-time against the Hoops, with a 9-1-2 mark at home where it has outscored Dallas 29-8. The two sides are also familiar postseason opponents, meeting eight times dating back to 2014. Sounders FC is 4-2-2 all time against Dallas in those contests.
Fresh off the U.S. Men's National Team's championship in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup tournament, Cristian Roldan returns to the club this week, having not played for the Rave Green since a 1-1 draw at Colorado on July 4.
Sounders FC forward Raúl Ruidíaz's 11 goals this season currently rank first in MLS, while João Paulo leads the club with five assists. Defender Yeimar Gómez Andrade leads the league with 51 interceptions, spearheading a defensive effort that is tied for first in MLS with seven shutouts.
Wednesday's match is being broadcast locally on JOEtv and streamed regionally on Prime Video, with Keith Costigan and Kasey Keller on the call. Michelle Ludtka, Lamar Neagle, Marcus Hahnemann and OL Reign player Jess Fishlock, making her Sounders FC broadcast debut, are providing pre-match, halftime and post-match TV coverage.
