April 1, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - After a week off due to the international break, Sounders FC (1-2-1, 4 points) returns to MLS regular-season action this weekend as it heads to St. Paul to take on Minnesota United FC (2-0-2, 8 points). It marks the 11th meeting between the two clubs across all competitions since 2017, when Minnesota joined MLS as an expansion side. Seattle holds an 8-1-1 record against the Loons in those competitions.
Seattle has a 2-1-1 record in Minnesota since 2017, with the lone loss coming last year on July 18 with a 1-0 scoreline, ending the Rave Green's MLS-record 13-match unbeaten streak to start the season. Notably, Sounders FC is riding a four-match unbeaten streak across all competitions (2-0-2) this season.
Following Saturday's match, the Rave Green return home for the first leg of the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Semifinals against New York City FC on Wednesday, April 6 (7:00 p.m. PT / FOX Sports, TUDN, 1090 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
