RENTON, WASH. - The Seattle Sounders FC announced today that it has completed the transfer of defender Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, extended the contract of midfielder Brad Evans and re-signed defender Tyson Wahl.
Each player is entering their second year with the Sounders FC. Per club and Major League Soccer policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
"Jhon Kennedy was a very strong performer for us during our first season and with his permanent transfer we are able to assure our nucleus remains intact," said general manager Adrian Hanauer. "Together with our agreements with Brad and Tyson, this further prepares us to go forward in establishing Sounders FC as a championship contender within MLS and the region."
