Sounders FC Asks Fans to Save the Date for Concacaf Champions League Victory Celebration on July 9

SEATTLE, WASH. - After its victory last Wednesday over Pumas UNAM to claim the 2022 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League title in front of a record-breaking crowd at Lumen Field, Sounders FC today shared details surrounding how fans can celebrate the historic event, including an official day of special activities on July 9 at Lumen Field and opportunities this week for the public to view and take photos with the SCCL trophy.

Fans should save the date and make plans to attend the Rave Green's match on July 9, where the club intends to officially celebrate the SCCL title. The day's events are headlined by the unveiling of the championship banner in Lumen Field's rafters, joining the line of hangings commemorating Sounders FC's many accomplishments, and a bevy of additional special elements will be shared closer to the match date.

Single-match tickets for July 9 and any of Sounders FC's remaining home matches can be purchased via SoundersFC.com/Tickets.

In the more immediate aftermath of last Wednesday's thrilling match, fans this week have a selection of opportunities to view and take photos with the new SCCL trophy, as it is made available to the community in recognition of Sounders FC's belief that victories belong to the club's fans.

Tonight at T-Mobile Park, Sounders FC's neighbors the Seattle Mariners honor the Rave Green, as players - including Xavier Arreaga, Yeimar Gómez Andrade, Nico Lodeiro, Jimmy Medranda, Jordan Morris, Kelyn Rowe and Raúl Ruidíaz - take to the field pregame to hoist the SCCL trophy and be recognized for the club's achievement. Team captain Lodeiro is then scheduled to throw out the first pitch, and the trophy is being displayed on the concourse and is available for photo opportunities through the end of the game's fifth inning.

On Wednesday, May 11, fans attending Sounders FC's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match at Starfire Stadium also have the chance to take photos with the SCCL trophy, which is available from the time gates open through the end of the match.

On Saturday, May 14, the trophy makes its way to the Lumen Field Pro Shop, where it is scheduled to be on display and available for fan photo opportunities from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. PT. Fans are encouraged to stop by to see the trophy and browse SCCL championship merchandise. No purchase is necessary for photos with the trophy.

On Sunday, May 15, the trophy is available at Lumen Field ahead of Sounders FC's home match vs. Minnesota United FC (1:00 p.m. PT / ESPN, 93.3 KJR FM, El Rey 1360 AM).
