
Sound Tigers Extend Partnership with Norwalk Hospital

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Sept. 21, 2011) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that Norwalk Hospital will continue to serve as the Official Hospital of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers for the 2011-12 season.
This marks the second consecutive season that Norwalk Hospital will partner with the Sound Tigers. Norwalk Hospital will sponsor health awareness and education events at several Sound Tigers home games.
"The Bridgeport Sound Tigers entertain thousands of Fairfield County families with great hockey action each year," said Daniel J. DeBarba, President and CEO of Norwalk Hospital. "This partnership will help the Hospital to continue to provide important health education to the community, and we're proud to be designated the Official Hospital of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers."
The Sound Tigers also announced today that their home game on Saturday, Jan. 14 vs. the Providence Bruins will be "Pink Rink Night" in support of breast cancer awareness, sponsored by Norwalk Hospital. In addition, the Sound Tigers will wear commemorative game jerseys that will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to Norwalk Hospital's Smilow Family Breast Health Center.
