TIGERS VS. DEVILS Tonight's game features the second and final meeting between the Sound Tigers and Devils this season, and the only matchup at Webster Bank Arena. Binghamton took the first installment on Oct. 7 (season opener) with a 2-1 decision at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena in New York. Scott Eansor scored Bridgeport's lone goal in the third period of his pro debut, but Nathan Bastian's first pro tally for Binghamton (on a penalty shot) stood as the game-winner and Blake Pietila also found the back of the net. Both teams went 0-for-4 on the power play and Chris Gibson made 22 saves for the Sound Tigers.

VIEW FROM BINGHAMTON

Rick Kowalsky's club has won just two of its last eight games and has fallen into the basement of the North Division and Eastern Conference. Despite their recent struggles, the Devils are coming off of a 6-2 win against the Charlotte Checkers at home on Wednesday, in which John Quenneville and Colton White each scored twice and leading scorer Jacob MacDonald also logged multiple points (one goal, one assist). In addition, Brandon Baddock (one goal, one assist), Michael Latta (two assists) and Ken Appleby (20 saves) all contributed heavily to Binghamton's 10th win of the year. Former Sound Tigers alternate captain Bracken Kearns did not record a point, but he currently ranks second on the team with 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 30 games and was named a captain for this year's AHL All-Star Classic on Dec. 19. He trails MacDonald on the Devils' scoring chart, who leads all AHL defensemen in goals (11), power play goals (six), and is second in points (26).

BAILEY BOUNCES UP SCORING CHART

Fourth-year forward Casey Bailey has been cool and consistent over the last seven games, collecting four goals and five assists over that span and climbing to fourth on the Sound Tigers in scoring (18 points in 30 games). The Penn State University product also enters tonight's contest on a four-game point streak at home (two goals, four assists) and Bridgeport is 3-0-1 when he registers multiple points in a game.

SPECIALIZING ON SPECIAL TEAMS

The Sound Tigers were brillant on special teams last Wednesday, going 3-for-7 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill against Hershey. That performance boosted Bridgeport's power play to seventh in the AHL (19.4%) and its penalty kill climbed to (86.8%). In addition, the Sound Tigers have scored at least one power-play goal in five straight games (and seven of its last eight), while the penalty kill is a perfect 25-for-25 over the last six contests.

QUICK HITS
