Strong Island Sound News Release
Patchogue, N.Y. - The Strong Island Sound of the ABA have signed former Harlem Globetrotter Chris Sandy. The 6'1" guard out of Fresno State in 2004 has averaged 13 points in his first 2 games with the Sound, coming off the bench in both averaging 21 minutes.
Sandy previously was a JC All-American at West Arkansas University. He led the Western Athletic Conference in assists and was a First Team All-WAC player. He then went to Fresno State before playing for the Harlem Globetrotters in 2005.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
