Nighthawks Suffer One Point Loss to Montreal Matrix

Montreal, Quebec- Leading 68-56 at half-time the Maryland Nighthawks could not put away the Montreal Matrix. The Matrix fought back and outscored the Nighthawks 32-25 in the final period to come away with the one point victory 116-115, dropping the Nighthawks to 18-6 and stopping their 6 game winning streak.

The Nighthawks ABA All-Star Ray "Hops" Cunningham led all scorers with 39 points while also contributing 6 boards. Other Nighthawks of note are Lee Cook who had 19 points and 13 boards and Eric Branham who had 17 points and 5 steals. Both teams had six players score in double figures. The Matrix were led by Bobby Miller's 20 points, Sani Ibrahim's 19, and Manix Auriantal's 18.
