Soul sign WR/LB Lamont Moore

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul announced today they have signed WR/LB Lamont Moore and waived OS Anthony Bright. As per club policy, terms of the deal was not disclosed.

Moore (6'1", 195, Baylor) joins the Soul after spending time with the Orlando Predators. He saw action in one game this season and caught one pass for 24 yards before being placed on injured reserve.

In 2005, he was a member of the New Orleans VooDoo where he caught 46 passes for 366 yards with nine touchdowns. He also tallied 29 total tackles, one interception, three pass breakups and forced two fumbles.

Moore is going to play under Soul head coach Bret Munsey for the second time in his career, having spent time with him in Orlando during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. The six-year veteran has recorded 87 receptions for 891 yards with 18 touchdowns. On defense, he has recorded 87.5 tackles, three tackles for losses, two interceptions, nine passes defended, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

The Soul (5-4) return to the Wachovia Center, following a four game road trip, this Friday, March 31 when they host the Austin Wranglers (6-3).
