Reading, Penn. - The Somerset Patriots (48-29) drew a season-high 12 walks and tied season-high with seven stolen bases in a 4-3 win over the Reading Fightin' Phils (30-48) Sunday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Every Patriot batter in the lineup drew at least one walk, while five different Patriots stole at least one base, with two steals from both Michael Beltre and Jason Lopez. The franchise record for walks in a game still stands at 14 (6/25/11 @ Lancaster), while the record for stolen bases in a game remains nine (6/13/00 vs. Long Island).

Somerset struck first with three runs in the top of the third inning on a run-scoring wild pitch, a steal of home, and a Brandon Lockridge sacrifice fly. The team stole five bases and drew six walks in the frame.

Reading got a run back in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run from Jhailyn Ortiz (1), but the Patriots extended their lead back out to three the next half inning on an Isiah Gilliam two-out RBI double.

The Fightin' Phils made it a two-run ballgame in the bottom of the sixth on a Josh Stephen RBI infield single. They later added an Arquimedes Gamboa (8) solo home run in the ninth, but fell one run short.

Jhony Brito (W, 1-0) earned a win in his Double-A debut. The newest Patriot allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts across six innings of work. Francisco Morales (L, 2-9) allowed three runs on two hits and five walks to take the loss. Barrett Loseke (SV, 1) allowed one run over two innings for his first save of the season.

The Patriots are off on Monday before returning home to begin a six-game series against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) Tuesday night. First pitch at TD Bank Ballpark is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
