
Somerset Patriots Sign Pitcher Ryan Flannery

Bridgewater, NJ - The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Ryan Flannery.
Flannery has five seasons of minor league experience, all in the New York Yankees organization, including two seasons at Double-A.
Flannery spent the 2012 season in Double-A and finished with a 3-2 record, a 3.97 ERA, eight saves and 30 strikeouts in 37 games.
In 2011, before being promoted, he finished his time in Single-A in Tampa with a 3-1 record, a 1.24 ERA, 19 saves and 35 strikeouts in 36 appearances.
Flannery has a minor league career record of 20-12 with a 2.44 ERA, 54 saves, and 215 strikeouts in 179 games.
He is a New Jersey native who was born in Carlstadt, graduated from Henry P. Becton High School in East Rutherford, and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck.
"Ryan has been a solid reliever throughout his career and someone we are excited to add to our bullpen. He's had a lot of late inning experience and success in that role and we expect much of the same this season for us," said Brett Jodie, manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
