
Somerset Patriots Sign Infielders Eddy Martinez-Esteve and Bobby Stevens

Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced the signings of infielders Eddy Martinez-Esteve and Bobby Stevens.
Esteve has experience in the San Francisco Giants and Seattle Mariners organizations, including six seasons at the Double-A level and one at the Triple-A level.
In 2011, he finished with a .269 average in 15 games played at Double-A Jackson. At High Desert the year before, Esteve hit .325 with 66 hits, 12 doubles, seven home runs, and 36 RBI in 53 games played.
Esteve has a minor league career .294 average with 619 hits, 139 doubles, 11 triples, 42 home runs, and 305 RBI in 602 games played.
He played briefly for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League last season.
Stevens has experience in the Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves organizations, including time at the Triple-A level.
He hit .276 with 51 hits, seven doubles, six home runs, and 16 RBI in 51 games at Single-A Frederick last season.
He has a minor league career .242 average, 305 hits, 48 doubles, six triples, 29 home runs, and 133 RBI in 417 games played.
