Somerset Patriots News Release
Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced the re-signing of catcher Adam Donachie.
Donachie played in 82 games for Somerset last season and had 62 hits, 11 doubles, six home runs, and 40 RBI.
"Adam really came up big for us in many spots last season. He's a strong defensive catcher that knows how to call a good game and our pitchers have a lot of confidence in him behind the plate. We look forward to him coming back and continuing to grow in his role with us," said Brett Jodie, Manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
Donachie drove in 22 runs on 69 hits, 17 doubles, and three homeruns while scoring 27 times for the Patriots during the 2012 season.
He was a second round draft pick of the Kansas City Royals in 2002 and also has experience in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He has two seasons of Triple-A time, including 14 games at Norfolk in 2011.
Donachie has 632 career hits, 136 doubles, 59 home runs, and 309 RBI in 850 games played.
