SEATTLE - U.S. Women's National Team head coach Jill Ellis has officially announced the roster for the team's upcoming July matches and team camp in Chicago. Seattle Reign FC's Hope Solo and Megan Rapinoe are among the 24 players selected.
Goalkeeper Hope Solo will enter camp in good form, coming off of two-straight shutouts in NWSL play with Reign FC. Solo has 8 saves over the past two matches. Currently sitting on 99 shutouts, Solo is looking become the first goalkeeper in U.S and world history to reach 100 career shutouts for the U.S. National Team.
Midfielder Megan Rapinoe is still recovering from an ACL injury sustained in December of 2015, but has been called into camp for evaluation by the U.S. Soccer staff. Rapinoe will not play in the team's upcoming match against South Africa. Her last appearance for the national team was on October 25 in a 3-1 win against Brazil.
