
Solar Bears Receive Rights to Three Gwinnett Players

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today they completed the March 7th trade with the Gwinnett Gladiators in which Orlando sent F Ryan Ginand to Gwinnett. The Solar Bears have received the ECHL rights to forward Tyler Murovich and defensemen Ryan Donald and Tristin Llewellyn.
The 5-foot-9 178-pound native of Pittsburgh, PA, Murovich, 23, skated in 113 regular season games over the past two seasons with Gwinnett totaling 70 points (25g, 45a) and 154 penalty minutes (PIM). During 2012-13, he appeared in 18 AHL games with the Hamilton Bulldogs (3g, 1a = 4 points) and 37 PIM. Murovich has played in 50 American Hockey League regular season games with Syracuse, Springfield, Wilkes Barre/Scranton and Hamilton.
Donald (6-foot-3, 227 pound, 26 year old), from St. Albert, Alberta, turned pro in 2009-10 with the AHL Springfield Falcons after a four year career at Yale University where he was Team Captain in 2009-10. He joined Gwinnett after stints with the Reading Royals (ECHL) and Providence Bruins (AHL) in 2010-11, and Charlotte Checkers (AHL) and Florida Everblades (ECHL) in 2011-12. During the 2012-13 season with Gwinnett, Donald played 62 regular season games tallying 21 points (4g, 17a) and 114 PIM. He enters the 2013-14 season with 157 regular season ECHL games played (10g, 40a = 50 points) and 347 PIM.
Tristin Llewellyn (6 foot-2, 209 pound, 24 year old) played four years at the University of Michigan. The Ann Arbor, MI native, was signed by Gwinnett on Jan 9th, 2013 from the Central Hockey League's Rapid City (S.D.) Rush. He played 27 regular season games with the Gladiators (1g, 1a = 2 points) and 22 PIM.
