Solar Bears Dancer Auditions Scheduled for August 10

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that auditions to become a Solar Bears Dancer for the 2014-15 season will be held at the RDV Sportsplex on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at 11:30 a.m.

If you have a passion for performing and want to make a difference in the Central Florida community, then the Solar Bears want you! Solar Bears Dancers have the unique opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of fans during the course of a season. Along with routines performed in the crowd, Solar Bears Dancers perform at center ice during games, and even get to dance with our mascot - Shades - at one of the top facilities in North America, the Amway Center. In addition, each Dancer assists with in-game contest giveaways, suite visits, and on-ice promotions.

Solar Bears Dancers rallied the Orlando community with appearances in the Pride Parade, Heart Walk, and Veterans Day Parade this past season and will have an even bigger impact in Central Florida this season.

"The Solar Bears Dancers are a vital part of our game entertainment," said Samantha Piotrowski, Director of Merchandising and Game Entertainment. "We are looking for dancers who are excited to be a part of the electric atmosphere at the Amway Center."

Preregistration is required. In order to register, click here and fill out the required information. Applicants must be age 18 or older and must preregister by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8.

A routine will be given to all dancers at the audition, so dancers do not need to prepare their own. The auditions will be closed to the public as only those trying out will be granted admission.
