
First Arena Hosts Youth Summer Hockey League

ELMIRA, N.Y. - July 10, 2014 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that their Assistant Coach and Manager of the Ice Pavilion, Glenn Thomaris, will direct a three-on-three youth summer hockey league at First Arena starting July 15, 2014.
Former Jackal Chaz Johnson will be assisting Thomaris in supervising the youth summer hockey league. There will be sessions for a five-week period beginning on July 15, 2014 and running until August 14, 2014. The games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
The youth summer hockey league will begin on July 15 and run until August 14.
Each team is required to have six skaters plus a goaltender. The summer league fee is $85 per player. Goaltenders can participate in the league for free.
To be eligible for the league, skaters and goalies must be within the mite through midget age level.
"This league will give the youth players ten games for the summer and a good boost going into their
respective seasons," said Thomaris.
