Tyler Soderstrom, 20, moves up to Double-A Midland after living up to his billing in Lansing as MLB Pipeline's Athletics' No. 2 prospect and the No. 33 prospect in Minor League Baseball. In 89 games with the Lugnuts, Soderstrom slashed .260/.323/.513 with 19 doubles, three triples, 20 home runs and 71 RBIs. He leaves as the Midwest League leader in RBIs, tied for first in home runs, second in extra-base hits and second in total bases.

Cooper Bowman, 22, was originally drafted by the Yankees in the fourth round in 2021 from the University of Louisville. In 80 games this year with High-A Hudson Valley, he slashed .217/.343/.355 with 15 doubles, one triple, eight home runs and 35 stolen bases. His 55 walks drawn would lead the Lugnuts. Bowman, now ranked the A's No. 29 prospect and No. 2 second baseman prospect by Pipeline, was included with pitchers Ken Waldichuk, Luis Medina and JP Sears in a trade made August 1. He joins pitchers Joey Estes (Atlanta) and Christian Fernandez (Tampa Bay) and infielder Euribiel Ángeles (San Diego) as players on the Lugnuts' roster acquired via trade this season.

The Lansing Lugnuts (12-18, 37-59) are back home to host the West Michigan Whitecaps (21-9, 52-44) tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Jackson® Field™. For more information, call (517) 485-4500 or visit lansinglugnuts.com.
