The Sod Poodles (10-8) look to clinch at least a series split against the NW Arkansas (8-10) Naturals on Friday night at Arvest Ballpark.
RHP Deyni Olivero will make his Sod Poodles and Double-A debut after being promoted from High-A Hillsboro yesterday. In three starts with the Hops before being promoted, the D.R. native led the Northwest League with a 0.81 WHIP and had the fifth-best ERA (2.60) after his last start on April 23.
Ti'Quan Forbes looks to stay hot at the plate for Amarillo. In three games played this series, the third baseman is hitting .636 (7-for-11) with a double, home run, two RBI, two walks, and seven runs scored.
