Snow Activated from Suspended List, Hernandez to DL, Shipers to High Desert

JACKSON, TENN. - The Seattle Mariners have announced the following roster moves that affect the Generals roster. LHP Jordan Shipers has been activated from the DL and transferred to Hi-A High Desert. Also, RHP Forrest Snow has been activated from the suspended list and to Jackson's roster. RHP Moises Hernandez has been placed on the 7-day DL.

Shipers, 22 has been transferred to High Desert after making 12 appearances, 1 start for Jackson, posting a 0-3 record with a 6.55 ERA. He was placed on the disabled list on May 15th. Shipers, a native of Kansas City, MO was drafted by the Mariners in the 16th round of the 2010 draft.

Snow, 25, has been activated from the suspended list. Snow received a 50-game suspension after a second positive test for a drug of abuse in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program on Sept. 17. Last season Snow combined to go 5-5, with a 2.96 ERA between Jackson and AAA Tacoma. Snow was drafted out of the University of Washington in the 36th round in 2010. Snow will make the start on Monday night against Huntsville.

Hernandez, 30 has been placed on the 7-day DL and has appeared in 12 games, 1 start for Jackson going 0-4, with a 5.27 ERA over 27.1 innings pitched. Hernandez was signed as a free agent by the Mariners in 2011.

The Generals roster stands at 25 active players with 12 pitchers, 13 position players and 3 on the disabled list.
