
Snappers Win Three in a Row

For the first time all season the Beloit Snappers won three in a row. The Snappers won 8-3 against the Bowling Green Hot Rods Thursday night at Pohlman Field.
Beloit struck fast in the bottom of the first inning, scoring four runs. Wang-Wei Lin led off the inning with an RBI double, followed by a base hit from Adam Bryant. Miguel Sano was hit by a pitch, then Eddie Rosario singled advancing Bryant and Lin. That was just the beginning, when Jhon Goncalves went on to single scoring Sano and Rosario.
Beloit kept it going scoring runs in the bottom of the second, third, and fourth inning with Sano tripling, and doubles by Rosario, Lin, and Goncalves. Bowling Green attempted to rally back in the top of the sixth scoring three runs. Ryan Brett, Drew Vettleson, and Todd Glaesmann all singled bringing the score to 8-3 Beloit.
Lefty, Matt Tomshaw came in to relieve starter, Matt Summers, who went 5.2 innings, allowing five hits and three runs. Tomshaw allowed two hits and no runs. Ryan O'Rourke closed out of the game pitching one scoreless innings allowing one hit.
