CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - In another tight affair, the Beloit Snappers (30-40) lost their second straight game one-run contest 2-1 on Friday to the Cedar Rapids Kernels (39-31).

The Snappers scored the first run in the top of the third. Connor Scott flew out to the deep right-center field, but it scored Ricky Aracena from second base on a sacrifice fly. The Kernels answered in the bottom of the third with a two-run single from their first baseman Alex Isola to give the Kernels a 2-1 lead.

The Snappers had the tying run in scoring position in the ninth inning. Beloit couldn't drive in Thomas Jones and would fall 2-1. The Snappers now trail three games to one in the series.

He has a hit in all six games he has played with the Snappers. Jones extended his hit streak to five games and on-base streak to ten games with a single.
