Beloit Sky Carp News Release

BELOIT, WI - Fresh off a sweep of the River Bandits in Quad Cities, the Beloit Snappers are back amidst all the comforts of home. For the second straight home series, they will be going up against the first-place Cedar Rapids Kernels, the Midwest League affiliate of the Minnesota Twins. The Snappers have been playing some of their best baseball of the season lately and they will be trying to keep that going as they continue their drive for a playoff spot.

Wednesday, May 22nd will be a very unique night at Pohlman Field, as the team commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Cheers series finale. Everything at the ballpark will have a Cheers theme on this special evening. Social Media Wednesday is also one of the events on the docket. Fans can check the Snappers Facebook page and Twitter account to vote on which special offers will be available during the game.

Game two is scheduled for Thursday, May 23rd at 11:00am. The organization will be hosting the second Snappy School Day of the year. Schools can sign up in advance for discounted tickets. As always, a Thursday at Pohlman Field means another Snappy Hour with 8oz drafts of Miller Lite for $1 at the Firehouse Grill. Fans can visit the main stand for $1 small sodas and the Sud's O'Hanahan's Bullpen Deck and the Miller On Deck will be featuring $3 rail mixed drinks.

Get your memorial day weekend started on Friday, May 24th by coming to see the series finale, which will begin at 6:30pm. This will be the last chance Snappers fans have to see the first place Kernels in the first half of the season.
