Snakes to Host Race Night

The Columbus Cottonmouths will host a Race Night, presented by Epperly Tire, next Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Snake Pit. The Snakes will be wearing commemorative race jerseys, which will be auctioned off immediately following the game.

A raffle is being held and fans have a chance to win three great prizes. Pit passes to the Texas race, which includes airfare and hotel in Ft. Worth courtesy of American Eagle Airlines and the Columbus Airport, will be given away. Also, the Snakes will be giving away pit passes to Talladega and the All-Star Race in Charlotte. Raffle tickets are $5 each and can be purchased through the Cottonmouths office during regular business hours, or at the Fan Activities Center during the next two home games, Friday, Jan. 21 and Saturday, Jan. 22.

Fans who make any purchase at Epperly Tire on Schomburg or Whittlesey Road between now and Jan. 21 will be automatically entered into the raffle.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the Ryan Newman Foundation, which partnered with the SPHL this season. The Ryan Newman Foundation puts a strong emphasis on educating and encouraging people to spay/neuter their pets and to adopt from animal shelters.

The Snakes will be hosting our 'Guns and Hoses' Police and Fire Appreciation Night on Friday, Jan. 21. Guns and Hoses is being sponsored by Maneuver Supply Co., Shirley's Accounting, Butterfingers Crazy Chicken and Cartridge World. Our annual Teddy Bear Toss will take place for this game. Fans are asked to bring a stuffed animal to throw on the ice when the Snakes score their first goal. Friday is also Knology Appreciation Night. Fans showing their Knology invoice can receive buy one get one free upper level tickets.

Our Monday, Jan. 17 game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Fans with tickets to the 17th can use those same tickets for the 25th.
