Sevierville, Tenn. - The Smokies (11-1, 46-36) were unable to take the field Tuesday night due to unplayable conditions at Smokies Park. Tennessee will look to extend its 9-game win streak with a double-header against the Carolina Mudcats (7-5, 49-31) Wednesday at 6:15.
Gates will open at 5:00 as Rick Ankiel (2-5, 6.85) will face Trevor Hutchinson (1-0, 0.00) in the first game and Nick Stocks (5-4, 4.42) will pitch against Donnie Bridges (6-1, 2.80) in the second game.
Tennessee won its ninth game in a row with a 3-0 victory over the Carolina Mudcats Monday night behind the pitching of newcomer Chris Narveson. The win now has the Smokies leading the Mudcats by four games in the second half.
