
BayBears Knott slated to start All-Star game

Marietta, GA â The Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs announced today the starting lineup for the Western Division team for the 2003 Southern League All-Star Game to be held at The Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, FL on July 8.
Mobile BayBears right fielder Jon Knott was named to the starting lineup and will bat fourth for the Western Division All-Stars. Entering Tuesday's games, Knott was leading the Southern League in home runs (20) and was fourth in RBI (58), second in extra base hits (41), fourth in slugging percentage (.552), and tied for fourth in runs scored (46).
BayBears catcher Humberto Quintero will also play in the game as a reserve. BayBears pitchers Cory Stewart and Rusty Tucker are also on the Western Division team.
The starters were selected by Western Division All-Star Manager Frank Kremblas.
