CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - For the second straight night, the Smokies punished Lookouts pitching and tallied 15 hits on their way to a 6-3 victory Friday night at AT&T Field. Six players had multi-hit games for Tennessee, who improves to 2-0.

The Smokies picked right where they left off on Thursday night, as they scored four runs over the first three innings, highlighted by a two-run double from Josh Vitters that plated Nate Samson and D.J. After Ivan Ochoa's fielder's choice groundout erased the lead runner, Dolis walked Elian Herrera and gave up an RBI single to Jaime Pedroza, scoring Ochoa and making the score 4-1 after three innings.

Blake Lalli led off the sixth inning with a base hit to left field. One out later, a single to right field by Marwin Gonzalez would advance Lalli to third base and put runners at the corners. After a Ryan Flaherty strike out, Brett Jackson knocked in Lalli with a base hit to right field, and the Smokies went up 5-1. Chattanooga came alive in the bottom half of the inning, scoring two runs off Smokies RHP Kyle Smit to cut the Smokies' lead to 5-3.
