Bathurst, NB â The Moncton Wildcats continue to struggle as they lost to NB rivals the Acadie Bathurst Titan by a score of 1 â 0 in front of 1,402 fans at KC Irving Regional Center on Wednesday night.
Wildcats goaltender Corey Crawford (21-7-3) kept the team in the game facing 40 shots to Bathurst's goaltender Gabriel Bouthillette's (8-23 -2) 19 shots faced.
Mathieu Roy (19) got the Titan on the board early in the first period. Bathurst's lone goal would end up being the game winner as the Wildcats could not solve Bouthillette.
The Wildcats are back on the road when they face the Rimouski Oceanic in Rimouski, PQ on Friday night. This is a rematch of their confrontation from last Sunday when the Oceanic defeated the Cats by a score of 3 â 2.
The Wildcats next home game is on Sunday, January 23rd when they host the Halifax Mooseheads at 4pm. This game marks the Annual Timbit Day Event at the Coliseum. Over 4,000 children and parents associated with the Timbit Tournament will be in attendance. Standing room is still available for this game at the Coliseum Box office or by calling 857-4100.
