Sliders' Season Will Be Capped With Car Giveaway

Baseball teams all across the nation from MLB to the Collegiate Leagues have long been famous for "giveaway promotions". Everything from bobblehead dolls, to pennants, to replica jerseys are commonly given to the first 500 to the first 10,000 fans depending on the size of the stadium and market.
But few, if any, teams from the big leagues to the bushes are giving away something as spectacular as the Springfield Sliders this season! The Sliders are GUARANTEEING that one lucky fan will win a brand new 2012 Hyundai Accent on fan appreciation day in August!
The Sliders, in conjunction with Green Hyundai, are conducting a season-long contest which will ultimately lead to one fan driving away in a brand new car. No purchase is necessary to enter the contest. Fans are able to complete a contest entry form at the ballpark. Entry gathering will also occur at various places throughout the Springfield area during the season including selected dates at Green Hyundai during appearances by the Sliders' mascot, Speedy, and Sliders' players.
All fans registering to win the car either at the ballpark or at other locations will be eligible for a drawing for 2,000 "Golden Tickets". Fans with "Golden Tickets" will then receive a ticket to attend the Slider's game on Saturday, August 4 during which a "ball throw" will be conducted to determine the winner of the car. "Golden Ticket" holders will not only be guests at the August 4 game, they will also be given a free ball to throw on the field to determine who wins the car. The fan who is closest to the target with his ball will win the car. Again, one fan is GUARANTEED to win the car.

The Springfield Sliders are members of the Prospect League, playing at historic Robin Roberts Stadium. The Sliders are members of the Western Division along with the Danville (IL) Dans, DuBois County (IN) Bombers, Hannibal (MO) Cavemen, Quincy (IL) Gems, and Terre Haute (IN) Rex.
