CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - After two seasons as Prospect League Commissioner, Bryan Wickline has stepped down from the position to focus on his duties as Managing Partner and President of the Chillicothe Paints, a charter member of the 12- team college-summer baseball league. The search for a new CEO/Commissioner and newly-created Deputy Commissioner is under way. In the interim, Prospect League President and Terre Haute REX Owner and General Manager Bruce Rosselli will serve as Commissioner.

"As one of the founders of the Prospect League, I've truly enjoyed serving in the Commissioner's chair the last two years," Wickline said. "It made a lot of sense at the time to move into the Commissioner's position after leading the Board as President since our start in 2009."

"The circumstances for me and my wife have significantly changed since becoming the Commissioner in 2014, and we are looking forward to our life in Chillicothe and watching our children grow up where I was born and raised," Wickline added. "I thank the Board for their trust and support over the past two years and I remain excited about our League and the direction it is headed in the long-term."

Rosselli, who has served on the Prospect League executive board for two years, takes over the day-to-day duties of the commissioner's office until a permanent CEO/Commissioner is hired.

"As league President and Interim Commissioner, I would like to thank Bryan Wickline for his past two years of service as Commissioner of the Prospect League, we all admired his passion and commitment to making the league better," said Rosselli. "The entire board wishes Bryan and his family the best of luck focusing on future endeavors with the Chillicothe Paints."

The next Prospect League Commissioner will be responsible for all business duties in relation with the league and its member teams, including public relations, accounting, legal, league-wide sponsorships, branding, website, expansion, and more.

The newly-created Deputy Commissioner will be responsible for assisting the Commissioner and working with member teams on matters such as baseball operations, rules interpretation, player contracts, umpires, scheduling, statistics, and more.

"While we search for a replacement, it is our goal now to split the Commissioner's position into two roles. The CEO- Commissioner will be responsible for the business side. The Deputy Commissioner will run the operational side. We feel this will aid and expedite league goals in reaching our five-year plan," Ros s elli added. "The business model change, I feel most confident, will allow more focus in obtaining our goals in building our brand and making a better experience for our players."
