SLC Stars Announce 2023-24 Promotional Game Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, today announced the team's promotional schedule for the 2023-24 season. All 24 home games will feature a theme night that highlights the local communities, charities, and cultures, while activating unique in-game experiences for fans. Season tickets are on sale now online at slcstars.com/tickets.
The Stars welcome fans back to the Maverik Center with Opening Night on Monday, Nov. 13, against the G League Ignite. Following their first match-up, the Stars kick-off Tuesday Night Family Nights on Nov. 14, as the Stars face-off against the Stockton Kings. Each Tuesday game throughout the season will offer $8 tickets and a unique, kid-friendly theme for each of our Tuesday games including giveaways, character appearances and more.
For the first time, the Salt Lake City Stars will host ABA Throwback nights every Thursday home game played. Stars players will sport the former ABA jerseys worn by the Utah Stars, the 1971 ABA champions who competed in Salt Lake from 1970-76, with those game nights featuring throwback music and videos incorporated into the game experience. During these throwback games, causes close to the Stars organization will be honored, such as: Autism Advocacy, Mental Health Awareness, Women in Sports, and Black Experience.
This season will be filled with entertaining themes, performances, and events. From live-action princesses and Star Wars characters to a dog adoption, there is something for everyone at a Stars game.
Numerous theme nights will feature custom jerseys throughout the season, with the first taking place on Dec. 16 with West Valley City edition uniforms, honoring the local civic leaders and volunteers of the community where the Stars play. An additional evening that will feature custom jerseys this season is NBA Paint night, in collaboration with the viral social media artist @NBApaintNight, on Jan. 19. More exciting themes and custom uniforms will be announced throughout the season. All theme night jerseys will be auctioned off with a portion of proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
The Blue and Gold will continue to use their platform to raise awareness for important causes, beginning with Autism Advocacy Night on Dec. 28, and Pride Night on Jan. 22. In celebration of diversity, the team will host Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Night on Feb. 7, Black Experience Night on Feb. 15, and Hispanic Heritage Night on March 5. In support of local educators, there will be an educator appreciation night on Feb. 23 in partnership with three local schools for a student contest that will be announced at a later date.
Throughout the Stars regular season there will be three games hosted in partnership with the Junior Jazz, the longest-running youth basketball league in the NBA, that impacts the lives of more than 60,000 youth every year. Each game will host all Junior Jazz members and their families,for a night filled with giveaways, concourse activations, bounce houses, face painters, player autographs, and more. Junior Jazz activation nights will be announced at a later date.
