Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release
WILKES-BARRE, PA - John Slaney, Stephen Dixon and Steve Parsons are the newest additions to the roster for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Alumni Game, presented by Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep. The game, which pits the former Penguins against ex-Hershey Bears, will take place at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 4, prior to that evening's AHL contest between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hershey.
"The response from our alumni members has been tremendous," said Penguins President Rich Hixon. "We're looking forward to having them back in the area to re-live some old memories, while making many new ones."
Also scheduled to suit up for the Penguins are Dennis Bonvie, Greg Crozier, Casey Harris, Chris Kelleher, Jim Leger, Jean-Paul Tessier, Brendan Walsh, Steve Webb and David Weninger. Additional players are expected to be added to that list in the near future. All players are subject to change.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton lineup will also feature three new signings - Jeff Carlson, Steve Carlson and Dave Hanson - better known to the hockey world as the Hanson Brothers. The Hansons (www.hansonbrothers.net) will also entertain the crowd during the evening contest against the Bears, which should produce some real 'old-time hockey'.
General admission tickets to the alumni game are just $10 for season ticket holders and $12 for non-season ticket holders. Season ticket holders can contact their account executives to reserve tickets. Non-season ticket holders can get tickets through all TicketMaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com and through the Wachovia Arena Box Office.
All proceeds from the game will benefit the Penguins/United Way Charity Fund. Sponsors for the event include the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza, Lucky's Sporthouse, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, Hilton Garden Inn and Wyoming Valley Health Care System.
