B-Sens Release Forward Matt Pope

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators have released forward Matt Pope from his 25-game professional tryout agreement.

Pope, 24, made his American Hockey League debut in the B-Sens 3-1 win over Portland on Tuesday, Mar. 10. In four games with Binghamton, Pope scored two goals, including one game-winning goal, and added one assist for three points.

A native of Langley, British Columbia, Pope registered 30 goals, 33 assists and a -4 rating in 54 games this season as a rookie with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL.

The B-Sens (36-24-5-3, 80 pts.) return to the ice on Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m. to take on the Norfolk Admirals (27-34-3-5, 62 pts.) in the third of four straight games against the East Division rival.
