
Slammers Sell out July Third

Joliet Slammers News Release
Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy lost to the Normal CornBelters 3-2 Tuesday night despite the sellout crowd.
Normal started the scoring in the top of the first with Derrick Loveless hitting an RBI double and then scoring on a balk making it 2-0 CornBelters.
The CornBelters scored another run in the top of the 5th but 2018 Frontier League All-Star Danny Zardon hit an RBI double that scored London Lindley and Trenton Hill making it 3-2.
Despite tonight's loss the Slammers still remain near the top of the Frontier League East Division with the Washington Wild Things and the Lake Erie Crushers.
Tonight's Merchants and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game is All-Star Danny Zardon who went 1-3 with two RBIs and a walk.
The Slammers return home tomorrow to continue their series versus Normal at 7:05pm.
