Mike Devine then contributed three great innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit while striking out four and walking none. Trevor Longfellow picked up the save with a perfect 9th. Kevin Walter took the loss for Joliet, giving up a three-run 3rd inning that knocked him from the game. Juan Sanchez had their big hit with a two-run homer. That was followed by a Daniel Aldrich solo shot that turned out to be the game-winner. Luke Crumley came on and pitched five superb innings of scoreless relief.
