
Slammers Continue Winning Streak vs River City Wednesday Morning

Joliet Slammers News Release
Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy beat the River City Rascals 7-1 Wednesday morning to push their winning streak to five games.
Zach Lavy hit an RBI single in the top of the first inning putting River City on the board at 1-0.
The Slammers responded with a six run third inning that was headlined by a Ridge Hoopii-Haslam two-run single that scored L.J. Kalawaia and Danny Zardon making it 6-1 Slammers.
L.J. Kalawaia would bring home Travis Bolin in the 8th on an RBI single to make it 7-1 Slammers.
Daren Osby had a solid start for the Slammers throwing six innings giving up one run and striking out eight.
Today's Merchants and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game is Ridge Hoopii-Haslam who went 2-3 with two RBIs, a walk and a run scored.
As it currently stands, the Slammers have sole possession of first place in the Frontier League East Division with a 32-24 record. The Washington Wild Things are in contention with the Slammers for first place and will play tonight at 7:05pm.
The Slammers are back home tomorrow to conclude their series vs River City at 7:05 p.m.
