Skyrockets to Hold First Ever Basketball Camp

Minot, ND - February 11, 2008 - The Minot Skyrockets have scheduled their first ever youth basketball camp. With the children all off from school on February 18th for President's Day and the Skyrockets on a one-week break from games, the team has decided to conduct a basketball clinic for children in Grades 3-8. Three Skyrockets players will be coaching the kids, including All-Star Kevin Rice who holds annual basketball clinics in the Bismarck area. Darius Mattear and Eric Davis will also be coaching up the kids on Monday.

The camp is open to kids in grades 3-8 and will be split into 4 sessions as follows:

Grades 3-4 (boys & girls) 8-10 am

Grades 5-6 Boys 10-12 am

Grades 5-6 Girls 1-3 pm

Grades 7-8 Boys 3-6 pm

In addition to the chance to be coached by professional athletes, all participants will receive a t-shirt and a ticket to a Skyrockets game. Admission for the camp varies depending on the grade level, so please call the Skyrockets for more information at 839-SLAM.
