Minot, ND - November 17, 2008 - The Minot Skyrockets announced today the signing of Lorenzo Miles to the Skyrockets roster, pending league approval. Miles is a 6'0", 190 pound point guard who played last year in Sweden.

Miles played his college ball at Niagara University, where he played in 125 games starting every game Niagara played his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. Miles averaged 10.5 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and a steal over his four-year career. During Miles' junior and senior seasons, he averaged 14 points, 3.4 assists, and 3.7 rebounds, leading Niagara to the NCAA March Madness Tournament his sophomore and senior seasons. In his senior season, he was named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team. In Sweden last year, with Gothia Basket, Miles averaged 16.5 points, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds, to go along with adding 1.5 steals per game.

"We've looked at a lot of players since I've been here and Lorenzo is one that has stood out to me because of his great 3-point shooting," Skyrockets Head Coach Michael Sanders said. "He is a great leader and led his team to the March Madness Tournament twice during his college career."
