Sussex Skyhawks News Release
After a spirited win on Sunday afternoon, the Skyhawks fell flat and trailed all game long against the Brockton Rox, to lose by a final score of 7-1.
The Rox hit Skyhawks starter Rene Barreras early in the game, striking for 4 runs in the first 2 innings. Barreras settled down during the middle innings and at one point retired 10 Rox batters in a row. Gary Galvez dominated the Skyhawks all game long allowing only 1 run over 7 innings of work, while striking out 9 batters. The Skyhawks had very few chances to score in the game, as Galvez fooled Skyhawk hitters all night long. Jason Radwan was the hitting star for the Rox, going 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs.
Come see the Skyhawks continue their series with the Rox Tuesday night at 6:35 with a massive fireworks show following the game. Rolando Viera (3-3)will start for the Rox against Ryan Lobban (0-3) for the Skyhawks.
