Game #29 / Road Game #15 / CBA Game #105

New Faces

The ‘Force will have a different looking team when they take the court tonight as several new faces will be making their debut in a Skyforce uniform. The ‘Force picked up a pair of guards in two separate trades as they acquired Geno Carlisle from Yakama in exchange for a third round pick in the 2006 CBA Draft and Billy Thomas from Dakota in exchange for Al Neale, James Wright, and future considerations. They also signed Steve Castleberry, a 7'0" rookie center out of Rider University, who attended training camp with the Philadelphia 76ers this past October. All three players are expected to be in uniform tonight with the possibility of a few more additions by tomorrow night.

Post All-Star Break

The ‘Force is ready to get back on the court after the All-Star break and playoff spots in the Western Conference are still up for grabs. Last season the ‘Force played extremely well after the mid-season classic as they went a league-best 15-7 (.682) to finish the regular season. Dakota had the next best winning percentage as they finished with a record of 14-10 (.583) after the All-Star break. The ‘Force has 20 games remaining on the schedule with 10 at home and 10 on the road. Tonight is the beginning of five straight road contests to start the second half of the season.

Felix Shines

The Western Conference All-Stars defeated the Eastern Conference All-Stars 119-110 in front of 3,883 fans at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho this past Tuesday night. The Idaho Stampede swept the skills competitions as Alpha Bangura won the Slam Dunk Contest and David Jackson won the Long Distance Shootout. Noel Felix, who was named as a replacement player after the departure of several players overseas and to the NBA, had an impressive All-Star Game debut as he finished the night with 18 points and eight rebounds on 7-for-9 shooting from the field. Felix will need to step up his game in the second half of the season as the ‘Force will definitely miss the production of Brandon Hunter (22.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg), who opted to take his game overseas.

'Force All-Time Record vs. Wizards W-L 18-29 (.383)

'Force vs. Wizards 05-06 W-L 3-4 (.429)
