Parmer Dishes Out 17 Assists In Win

Marlon Parmer handed out a season high 17 assists in Thursday night's 137-116 win over the Idaho Stampede at the MetroCentre.

Seven Lightning players scored in double figures as the team scored a season high 137 points. Roger Powell led the way with 35 points and 13 rebounds. The rookie forward had 16 points and 6 rebounds in the opening quarter and paced the Lightning to a 41-25 lead at the end of the first. Ronnie Fields added 29 points and a season high 5 steals in the victory. Parmer also added 14 points and 6 rebounds to go along with his 17 assists in the game.

Rico Hill scored 12 points and picked up 2 blocks while coming off the Lightning bench in his first game with the team. His brother Sidney Holmes also had 12 points and added 9 rebounds in the game.

"We played well together as a team," said Lightning Head Coach Chris Daleo. "Everyone played to their role on the team, and hopefully this is a sign of good things to come in the second half of the season."

The Lightning will travel to Michigan to take on the Mayhem this Saturday at 5:05 P.M. (CST).
