Sioux Falls, SD (January 20, 2006) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that they have signed Jermaine Walker and Steve Castleberry to CBA contracts. Both players joined the team in Bismarck, North Dakota and are expected to be in the lineup tonight as the ‘Force takes on the archrival Dakota Wizards. Per club rules, terms of the contract are confidential.

Walker, a 6'7" small forward out of the University of Miami, has four seasons of CBA experience with four different teams. He has CBA career averages of 16.1 ppg and 4.5 rpg in 71 games (36 starts). His best season came just last year as he averaged 23.3 ppg and 4.6 rpg in 16 games (7 starts) with the Rockford Lightning in the regular season and in the 2005 CBA Playoffs he increased his production as he averaged 25.7 ppg and 4.4 rpg in 9 games (3 starts). He had some of his best games of the season against the Skyforce in the 2005 CBA Finals including a CBA Finals-high 38 points in a game three victory over the ‘Force at the Rockford MetroCentre.

Castleberry, a 7'0" rookie center out of Rider University, attended training camp with the Philadelphia 76ers before he was waived on October 28th. He attended Rider University from 2003-05 and in his two seasons with the Broncs he averaged 9.5 ppg and 5.3 rpg in 61 games (55 starts). Prior to his two seasons at Rider University he played one season at Dixie State Junior College in Utah. He began his college career at Marist College as he averaged 2.4 ppg and 1.7 rpg in 22 games (10 starts) during the 2001-02 season.
