Sioux Falls, SD (July 17, 2006) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today the release of their 2006-07 regular season schedule. The NBA Development League regular season tips off on Friday, Nov. 24 and concludes on Sunday, April 15.

The NBA D-League All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, Feb. 17 at Jam Session Center Court immediately following practices for the East and West NBA All-Star Teams. Teams representing the Eastern and Western Divisions of the D-League will be selected by a vote that includes fans, as well as D-League players and coaches. D-League All-Star Game voting procedures will be finalized and released in the near future. The head coach of the team with the best record in each division two weeks prior to the All-Star game will coach the teams.

"We are delighted to have the first D-League All-Star Game as part of NBA All-Star Weekend," D-League President Phil Evans said. "This will be an experience our players will long remember, and coupled with our annual Showcase in January, affords NBA teams an additional avenue to gather at one location to see the best the D-League has to offer."

The Skyforce will open the season at home on Friday, Nov. 24 against their rivals to the north, the Dakota Wizards. This season the Skyforce will play 24 homes spread out over 20 weeks which will result in more weekend dates at the Sioux Falls Arena. The format for the 2006 D-League Playoffs will be announced at a later date.

"We are very excited to feature 18 of our 24 home games on weekends to go along with our annual Christmas night game," said Skyforce owner Mike Heineman. "Opening night (Nov. 24) will once again be very exciting with the return of Dave Joerger as head coach of the rival Dakota Wizards."
