
Skyforce Drops Second Straight Home Game

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 2 - The Erie BayHawks recorded an 87-81 road victory on Friday night as Sioux Falls lost consecutive home games for the first time in nearly two years. Erik Daniels had game highs in points (28) and rebounds (13) for the BayHawks.
Both teams started out slow as Sioux Falls recorded season lows in points scored in the first quarter (13) and points allowed in the first quarter (17). The Skyforce also had a season low for points in the first half (33).
Ivan Harris had a solid third quarter for the BayHawks scoring 11 of his 15 points in that frame. Sioux Falls trailed by as many as 11 points at the beginning of the third quarter. The Skyforce battled back and trailed 64-58 heading into the fourth quarter. Sioux Falls managed to tie the game three times in the final quarter but couldn't get over the hump.
In addition to Daniels' big night, Ivan Harris scored 15 points and Mike Cook was right behind him with 14. Cliff Clinkscales added a game-high nine assists for the BayHawks (9-5).
Sioux Falls (9-5) was led by Glen McGowan who posted season highs in points (27) and rebounds (11). Bobby Jones added 15 points and seven rebounds and Frank Williams was the only other Skyforce player to reach double figures with 10 points.
Sioux Falls will host Erie again tomorrow night at 7 p.m. CT.
