Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce were defeated 112-109 by the Iowa Wolves on Saturday night in the finale of a back-to-back.
Miami HEAT assignee Omer Yurtseven posted a game-high 28 points on 26 FGA and 17 rebounds (G League career-high). Yurtseven posted back-to-back 20-point, 10-rebound games in his assignment.
The Wolves (8-17) outscored the Skyforce (13-11) 58-57 in the first half, as Craig Randall III and Matt Lewis combined for 29 points on 12-19 FGA. Yurtseven had 18 points and nine rebounds in the first half to pace Sioux Falls.
Iowa built an 11-point lead in the third, but the Skyforce would cut the deficit to 85-79 with 12 minutes remaining.
Sioux Falls went on a 23-12 run to the 2:42 mark of the fourth period. The Wolves outscored the Force 12-4 in the closing minutes to complete the sweep.
HEAT two-way player Jamal Cain had 19 points and 12 rebounds. Mychal Mulder posted 18 points on 5-10 3PA to round out top scorers for Sioux Falls.
Minnesota Timberwolves assignee Wendell Moore, Jr. had 22 points. Randall III led the team with 26 points.
Sioux Falls travels to face the South Bay Lakers on Monday and Wednesday, with tip-off slated for 9:00 PM CST. Iowa plays the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Thursday at 7:00 PM CST.
